About the Foundation FAQs

Angels for Allison, formally The Allison Brundick Haramis Foundation, is a Northeast Florida nonprofit that helps families with limited financial resources cover funeral costs after the death of a child. It was founded in 2010 in memory of Allison Brundick Haramis.

Allison Brundick Haramis was a joyful, colorful 15-year-old who loved theater, dance and the colors pink and green. After she died on April 17, 2009, her family created the Foundation so that no grieving family would have to say goodbye to their child without dignity.

Yes. Angels for Allison is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Who We Help FAQs

We help eligible families across seven Northeast Florida counties after the death of a child between 20 weeks of gestation and 18 years of age, where funeral costs would create genuine financial hardship.
We serve seven counties in Northeast Florida, with the majority of families we currently help living in Duval County.
Angels for Allison provides financial assistance toward funeral expenses. The level of support is reviewed case by case by our mission committee.

How Assistance Works

Families do not apply directly. Requests are submitted by an approved referring partner, such as a hospital social worker, hospice representative or another trusted professional, who assesses the family's circumstances and submits a referral through our secure portal.
This process protects the family's privacy, reduces stress at an overwhelming time, and allows a trusted professional to confirm the need, so parents can focus on grieving rather than paperwork.
Approved funding is paid directly to the funeral home chosen by the family, never as cash. This ensures responsible stewardship and that funds are used for their intended purpose.
Approved referring partners can submit a referral through our Referring Partner Portal. If you'd like to become a referring partner, contact our team and we'll share the requirements.

Continued Support FAQs

No. Through our Angelgram program, annual memorial service and private Facebook community, we stay connected with Angel families long after their immediate loss.
The babies, children and teenagers whose families we support are known as our Angels. We remember them by name, including during our board meetings.
