No parent is prepared to arrange a funeral for their child. Alongside shock and grief, families must make decisions about funeral homes, burial or cremation and final arrangements, and those decisions become even more overwhelming amid financial hardship.
Angels for Allison provides funeral assistance so that hardship does not decide how a family says goodbye, from referral to direct payment.
Since December 2010, we have helped over 1,400 northeast Florida families across 7 counties during one of life’s most painful seasons.
Families do not apply directly. Requests are submitted by an approved referring partner who can assess a family’s circumstances, including professionals from hospitals, hospice organizations, social service agencies, and other trusted community organizations.
Families never receive cash payments and are not asked to manage a complicated funding process while grieving. Once a referral is approved, we coordinate with the family’s chosen funeral home and send payment directly to the provider. This protects the family’s privacy and ensures every gift is used for its intended purpose.

Angels for Allison helps eligible families with limited financial resources across Northeast Florida. Our referring partners help confirm each family’s circumstances and need.
If a family’s situation falls outside these guidelines, our team and referring partners can often help point them toward other sources of support.
We support families after the death of a child between 20 weeks of gestation and 18 years of age.
Our services reach families throughout the region, with most currently served living in Duval County.
